About MOOEVO

Mooevo is a Spanish startup dedicated to the creation of micromobility vehicles and transportation systems for people and goods. The products are based on a patented system, the result of an advanced technological development that allows propelling carts and wheelchairs while also transporting the person driving it. Its applications and advantages are multisectoral. We develop solutions with electric mobility in the sectors of last-mile delivery, cargo bikes or urban waste collection services.

What is your company’s value proposition?  We provide companies with innovative delivery vehicles that help them solve some of the existing problems in last-mile delivery:

1- increased mobility restrictions in urban areas. In Europe all the municipalities with more than 50k inhabitants must create pedestrians zones by 2023.

2- LMD is a growing environmental concern in urban areas, being responsible for a 18% of road traffic and 40% of air pollution and noise emissions in main cities.

3- high costs (53% of overall shipping costs is due to last mile delivery),

4- huge pressure to fulfill customer demands for rapid same-day delivery (26% of online shoppers abandoned their shopping carts due to shipping times being too long, 50% of online businesses plan on providing same-day delivery in 3-5 years)

5-health issues due to pushing heavy loads

Our solutions have clear and poweful advantages:

1- Capacity to enter in pedestrians’ zones thanks to our innovative solution.

2- Most efficient vehicle size to load capacity ratio. Easy to storage

3- Competitive price vs current competitors

4- Easy to use, extremelly manoeuvrable

Describe your business/revenue model : Initially, our business model is very simple as it involves manufacturing equipment for direct or indirect sale to the end customer. The manufacturing will be carried out by specialised suppliers following our designs and instructions, as well as the assembly of the finished products.

In the second year, it is our intention to also incorporate pay-per-use and even pay-per-kilometre. For this, it is necessary to previously reach agreements with financial institutions to finance the purchase of the products, as well as with specialised after-sales service partners to take care of maintenance. With this solution, we would be giving the corporate customer what he is asking for: a complete service for professional delivery, with a monthly fee and without having to worry about maintenance or equipment renewal.

In addition, we will include value-added services priced through monthly fees, such as geolocation services, route optimisation, delivery driver productivity, etc  What product(s) and/or service(s) do you provide?

  • Last mile delivery vehicles
  • Electric sweeper trolleys

What is your sales and marketing strategy? The goal of our sales strategy is to achieve a staggered “go to market” plan, to reach potential customers sequentially according to their size and needs. Thus, we aim to cover all customer areas to which we can offer our technology and achieve a good position in the sector. We base our sales strategy on the following pillars:

– Direct sales.

– Distribution agreements.

– Partnerships to generate synergies between companies.

Finally, our sales strategy is complemented by a customer service department. Describe and quantify your target market. Main potential market are:

1-  last mile delivery (LMD) is becoming more important than ever due to the e-commerce exponential growth and the increasing costs of the logistic chain:

Global LMD market size (TAM) was $4bn in 2020 with a CAGR of 8.9%, Europe size (SAM) was $0.7bn with a CAGR of 16.1%. We will achieve between €10M and €15M in 3 years and €50M in 5 years.

2- Micromobility market is our secondary target. It refers about very light vehicles used for short duration travel. Global market is projected to reach around €9bn by 2025

Our first objective is to reach European B2B markets. Key players are delivery companies. Our initial focus are large delivery companies such as DHL, MRW and UPS   with the largest fleet volume and the need to increase their efficiency to be competitive.

We also focus on smaller delivery companies, both for parcels and food.

By 2023, we’ll be attacking European B2C markets mainly reached through e-commerce

Who are your competitor(s)?

Competitors solutions are:

1. Manual carts: pushed by a person. Main limitations are: the effort needed to move the cart, potential injuries for the pusher and delivery speed

2. E-Bikes: and the backpack carried by the driver. Main limitation are: cargo capacity and potential injuries for the rider

3. Cargobikes: one of the fastest growing LMD solutions with new proposals appearing, with different cargo capacities. Main limitations are: complex driving and low maneuverability, access restrictions in an increased number of cities (pedestrian areas), too big and difficult to store in urban places, expensive

4. E-motorbikes: also growing fast with different configurations and cargo capacities. Main limitations are: low maneuverability, access restrictions in pedestrian areas, big and difficult to store in urban places, expensive

5. Cargo drones: Not allowed yet (complex regulation for a near future),very low cargo capacity (<25 Kg), expensive acquisition and maintenance

What is your competitive advantage?

Today, there is a real need in last mile delivery that current solutions are not meeting efficiently. There are still too many deliveries being made by staff walking and pushing a heavy trolley.

There is no solution on the market like the one proposed by MOOEVO. Our solution is the result of applying our patented system to the last mile delivery sector and months of testing with different potential customers (especially Correos), with different needs and in different locations.

We have the innovation capacity to continue to evolve these solutions to help solve the challenges in the sector.

We can summarize our advantages:

-Can enter pedestrian zones, low-emission areas and inside buildings, as well as drive on the streets.

-Great maneuverability

-Real door-to-door delivery: able to enter any space, eliminating intermediaries and saving time.

-Allows fluid circulation: they are not invasive, do not create traffic and do not need parking

-Higher volume/cargo capacity ratio: the vehicle is mostly cargo space.

-Competitive price given its simplicity and its minimal maintenance costs

What customer problem(s) are you solving for?

Last mile delivery is soaring with the impressive growth of e-commerce in the last years and even more today with the current pandemic. This growth is however accompanied by a set of important challenges to be solved for retail companies, like:

Therefore, tackling the LMD problem has become an urgent need for all players involved and citizens

Describe the customer segment(s) that you are targeting

We have many types of customers interested in our innovative solutions.

Firstly, there are the postmen who currently deliver letters and small parcels by manually pushing a cart. Only in Correos, Spain’s leading post office, there are more than 30,000 postmen.

Delivery drivers who currently deliver by motorbike or van in the centre of large cities could do their job in a more efficiently way with our products.

Supermarket deliverers who carry their customers’ shopping within a radius of approximately 2 km, either pushing a trolley or in a van, they will have a more appropriate vehicle for this activity.

Within large logistics warehouses, there are operators who continuously move goods from one place to another and can travel more than 20km during their working day. We provide them with an ideal solution for their work.
